EEA Civil Society Fund Slovakia – Call no.5 for organisational grants

Civil society in Slovakia has faced growing challenges in recent years – from the weakening of the rule of law, to the spread of disinformation, to declining trust in democratic institutions. EEA Civil Society Fund Slovakia responds to these challenges by announcing the first call for small grants, which is intended for organizations working in the public interest.
990 thousand euros are allocated to support projects and the call is continuously open, which allows organizations to respond flexibly to current social needs.
Initiatives focused on:
- protection of human rights,
- strengthening democracy,
- involving citizens in public affairs, as well as
- media and information literacy.
The call also reflects the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the need to support the integration of people with forced migration. An important part is also supporting organizations that work with vulnerable groups – including Roma communities, women, LGBTIQ+ people or people with disabilities.
