Civil society organizations play an important role in protecting democratic values, promoting human rights and building trust in society. At a time when we face multiple societal challenges, we consider their work to be extremely important – and we want to stand by it.
That is why, within the framework of the EEA Civil Society Fund Slovakia program, we are announcing Call No. 2 for project grants, intended for civil society organizations in Slovakia.
We will support initiatives that respond to current social challenges and help strengthen democratic values in our society.
For example, projects focused on:
- protection of human rights,
- media and information literacy,
- involvement of citizens in public affairs,
- protection of civic space or support for equal opportunities.
The call also reflects the broader social context:
- consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine,
- the need to support the integration of refugees,
- combating disinformation
- strengthening social cohesion.
One of the areas of support is also environmental protection, climate action or a fair green transition.
