New Grant Call for Civil Society Organisations Strengthening Democracy and Human Rights

Topics

Civil society organisations play a vital role in protecting democratic values, promoting human rights, and building trust within society. At a time when we face multiple social challenges, their work is more important than ever—and we want to stand alongside them.

That is why, under the EEA Civil Society Fund Slovakia, we are launching Call No. 2 for Project Grants, aimed at civil society organisations operating in Slovakia.

A total of €3.38 million has been allocated to support projects, and organisations can submit their applications until 31 May 2026.

We will support initiatives that respond to current societal challenges and contribute to strengthening democratic values in Slovakia. These include projects focused on the protection of human rights, media and information literacy, civic participation, safeguarding civic space, and promoting equal opportunities.

The call also reflects the broader social context, including the consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the need to support refugee integration, counter disinformation, and strengthen social cohesion. Environmental protection, climate action, and a just green transition are also among the priority areas for support.
