Campaign and photographic competition Do práce na bicykli evaluation. Look at the winning photographs!
The final of The National campaign accompanied with the photographic competition from roads Do práce na bicykli on two wheels has been celebrated for the fifth time. Although the biggest campaign which supports the promotion of cycling transport in Slovak republic has been moved from spring to autumn due to the COVID 19 outbreak, it has not lost the irresistible attraction and many bicyclists have attended the event. More than 929 thousand travelled kilometers offer evidence of the fact, which represents more than 297 200 saved kilograms of Co2. Individuals and also teams who had changed their cars for bicycles could have joined in a photographic competition alongside of the campaign of the Ekopolis Foundation. Therefore tens of splendid, well done and funny photographs were taken again when cycling to work in September.
„We have competed as usual; we had three categories – an award for a picture on Facebook, on Instagram, and one special award of Ekopolis Foundation. All winning photographs which the public has voted for till 7th October, they will be published on our web page and on our social media page. The winners have received an award in the form of a gift token to the value of 100 Euros to purchase products in the bike shop Terrabike“, says Martina Ragalova from the Ekopolis Foundation which organizes the photographic event. “We not only thank to all the participants of the entire campaign and to all the competitors but also we thank to all the celebrities who have decided to immortalize their photographs on bicykle. Furthermore they contributed to the promotion of development of alternative vehicles – transportation without fuel in Slovak republic. The whole season has been led in the spirit of „cycle – heroes“ and we have really found them too“, adds Ragalová.
„I have wanted to express motion, speed, stress, a state of chaos vs peace, peace, being filled with joy of bicycling. I bicycle to work each day during the whole year and I enjoy it. It is ecological, economical, I take care about my health and I also take care about the health of other people since I do not produce emissions when I commute to work. I think that I have said enough. Everything fundamental is immortalized in the picture“, the winner of one category of the photographical competition has stated, and who has sent us a photography of the evening Košice.
The winners of the photographical competition were ceremonially announced during online result announcement of the campaign of Do práce na bicykli on Monday 19th October through live streaming on Facebook.
